Vital Voices (Michelle Hong)

This is a portrait I illustrated of Michelle Hong, co-founder and COO of Rooftop Republic Urban Farming, a social enterprise creating more livable cities through urban farming in Hong Kong.

I originally illustrated this piece in 2021 for @vitalvoices as they sought to highlight Asian women leaders during AAPI month. I further refined the portrait for this exhibition. Hers is the third of five portraits of mine currently on exhibit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The exhibition features portraits of 17 women leaders from around the world who are driving creative solutions that collectively advance the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
